Frequently asked questions
Do not hesitate to contact us should you have a question not listed below and we will answer it as soon as possible.
Why is the Perfometer for free, what's the catch?
Our service is based on an exchange of good practices. We provide for free an easy to use and extremely effective tool in exchange for anonymous portfolio data. This creates a virtuous cycle. Indeed, the more data our system receives, the more efficient it becomes and the more the comparisons become relevant. This allows you to have ever more interesting information to use and, on our side, to provide our own customers with service of increasingly better quality. The Perfometer must be free so not to affect its impartiality.
How does IBO guarantee its independence?
IBO does not manage money on behalf of third parties. Its unique role is to promote its platforms.
The remuneration system excludes IBO contractually from any potential conflict of interest. Independence and impartiality are the building blocks on which the IBO services are built.
How secure are the data transmitted?
Data and infrastructures are secured using highly sophisticated cryptographic security systems and meet the latest requirements for securing financial data. In addition, all data are kept strictly anonymous and do not in any way enable a portfolio to be linked to a person. The data we store are purely statistical in nature.
The total value of my investment portfolio is very low, is there a minimum requirement to register to the Performance Watcher?
Absolutely no minimum value is required to register at the Performance Watcher. You just need to hold a portfolio of investments in a bank. Everyone is welcome to join!
My bank is not connected to the Performance Watcher. Can I still use it?
During your next interaction with your banker, talk to him about Performance Watcher and your wish to participate. Every kind of support helps!
How long should I wait to see my Perfometer?
30 days. From the time the Performance Watcher receives its first piece of data from your bank, it requires 29 more data points (including week-ends) in total to start showing you your own Perfometer.
Is it possible to track multiple portfolios?
Yes. Do not hesitate to contact IBO who will inform you regarding this particular request.
The PW indices, what are they and how are they done?
PW indices are indices that represent the compiled results obtained from many different entities for real investment portfolios. They are produced independently by IBO and are an excellent point of comparison for your own portfolio.
What data are sent from my account to Performance Watcher?
The Performance Watcher receives the minimum data necessary to calculate your performance: your account total asset value and the eventual in and outflows total.
